Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) about Personal Life Coaching and Hypnotherapy
What is a Life Coach?
A Life Coach is someone you hire as one of the key persons of your Life Success Team (such as your doctor, your personal trainer, your minister, your financial planner).
A coach helps you achieve a specific personal or professional goal by providing actionable insight, direction and practical guidance.
Please note that a Life Coach is not a licensed therapist or counselor, or even a health professional like a physician and, therefore, cannot offer you medical advice. These roles are filled by others on your Life Success Team. However, some life coaches are trained in NLP, Hypnotherapy and can provide additional modalities from which you can benefit in your coaching sessions.
Do I need a life coach?
No one needs a coach. But you might seriously want a life coach to be on your Life Success Team to support you with specific life goals.
Often times, it's what we don't know that we don't know that slows us down or keeps us feeling "stuck."
A well-trained and intuitive life coach can help you bring awareness of how you can better access and utilize your existing resources to CREATE WHAT YOU WANT FOR YOURSELF.
High achievers or just those who wish to take their life to the next level understand that hiring a professional life coach for their Life Success Team is crucial for them achieve their goals, in less time and with less pain and stress.

What is a coaching session like?
A typical coaching session begins with clearly defining what it is you wish to achieve by the end of the session.
The session is then used to identify the obstacles in your way and the resources you already have to overcome or remove those obstacles.
It may be necessary that the work done in one session carries over into the next one. Depending on the nature of your situation, more than one session may be necessary.

Will coaching make me feel better about myself?
YES! … but let me qualify.
Coaching itself doesn't do anything. It's what YOU do with the insights you've gained from the session that make the difference in your life. This is an important distinction because you can get coached but have nothing come of it.
Coaching is a tool. You are one that uses the tool, and hopefully, you'll use it well.
Is there a payment plan?
Is it true you turn away potential clients?
Yes. Because life coaching is a unique partnership, it is extremely important that the Coach and the Client get along. They must be able to build positive rapport to meet Client's objectives. While I strive to create a safe space for everyone, it may be that another coaching relationship may be better suited to you and your goal objectives.
Also, if, for some reason there is a conflict of interest or another possible incompatibility that cannot be overcome, the Coach reserves the right to decline the start of a coaching relationship.
Because I have many connections in the coaching community, if you wish for a referral, you may inquire.
Are my sessions confidential?
Yes. You can rest assured that sessions are strictly confidential. The session may be recorded using video or audio, but the purpose and use of such recordings will be discussed and permission requested.
Do you give refunds?
Refunds will be determined on a case-by-case basis. The general terms concerning refunds are spelled out in the coaching contract.
What is 'coaching homework'?
Your Coach may ask you to do some "homework" before your next coaching session. It is important that you complete this homework as instructed, lest you undermine your own progress.
The homework is designed to be strategic and practical, yielding the desired results. Often times, the homework is progressive and builds upon prior assignments. Therefore, following through is important for your continued improvement.
Failure to complete the homework is not judged. However, the failure will be explored to determine how you might be self-sabotaging your own growth and progress, or whether there is another deeper lesson still yet to be learned.
